About performance :
"08.08.08" is a performance that invites participants to experience the emotional impact of living under occupation. The title refers to the date when Russia occupied parts of Georgia in 2008, and the performance takes place in a black box space.
Through a combination of sound, visuals, and physical elements, participants are transported to the world of the occupied. They are exposed to the fear, anxiety, and uncertainty that comes with living in a conflict zone. The aim is to create an understanding of the lived experience of those affected by occupation, and to inspire empathy and action.
